All power-generating units of the Baihetan hydropower station in southwest China have been constructed, marking a major step toward the full operations of the mega project, according to the hydropower station. All units are due to be operational by the end of the year. Baihetan will have a total installed capacity of 16 million kilowatts.

【知識點(diǎn)】

白鶴灘水電站位于云南省巧家縣和四川省寧南縣交界處金沙江干流河段，是三峽集團在金沙江下游建設的四座巨型梯級水電站——烏東德、白鶴灘、溪洛渡、向家壩中的第二級。白鶴灘水電站左右兩岸地下廠(chǎng)房共布置16臺世界單機容量最大的百萬(wàn)千瓦水輪發(fā)電機組，總裝機容量1600萬(wàn)千瓦。

自去年7月首批機組投產(chǎn)發(fā)電以來(lái)，白鶴灘水電站累計發(fā)電量已超過(guò)256億千瓦時(shí)。電站機組全部投產(chǎn)后，預計多年平均發(fā)電量624.43億千瓦時(shí)，每年節約標準煤消耗1968萬(wàn)噸，減少二氧化碳排放5160萬(wàn)噸，對中國實(shí)現碳達峰、碳中和目標具有重要作用。
