中共中央總書(shū)記、國家主席、中央軍委主席習近平3月30日在參加首都義務(wù)植樹(shù)活動(dòng)時(shí)強調，我連續10年同大家一起參加首都義務(wù)植樹(shù)，這既是想為建設美麗中國出一份力，也是要推動(dòng)在全社會(huì )特別是在青少年心中播撒生態(tài)文明的種子，號召大家都做生態(tài)文明建設的實(shí)踐者、推動(dòng)者，持之以恒，久久為功，讓我們的祖國天更藍、山更綠、水更清、生態(tài)環(huán)境更美好。

Participating in Beijing's voluntary tree planting activity on March 30, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, President of the People's Republic of China and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, said that he had participated in such activities for 10 consecutive years. "I want to do my bit for the Beautiful China initiative, and also to sow the seeds of ecological conservation in the entire society, among the Chinese youth in particular," he stressed. Xi said that he intends to call on all Chinese people to act as participators and promoters in the endeavor for ecological conservation. "With perseverance and accumulated efforts, we will be able to make our country's sky bluer, mountains lusher, waters clearer and the environment more beautiful," he said.

生態(tài)文明建設是關(guān)系中華民族永續發(fā)展的根本大計。黨的十八大首次強調建設美麗中國，將生態(tài)文明建設放在突出地位，融入“五位一體”的總體布局中。十九大部署了“加快生態(tài)文明體制改革，建設美麗中國”的戰略要求，提出到2035年基本實(shí)現社會(huì )主義現代化，美麗中國目標基本實(shí)現。黨的十九屆六中全會(huì )審議通過(guò)《中共中央關(guān)于黨的百年奮斗重大成就和歷史經(jīng)驗的決議》，強調像保護眼睛一樣保護生態(tài)環(huán)境，像對待生命一樣對待生態(tài)環(huán)境，更加自覺(jué)地推進(jìn)綠色發(fā)展、循環(huán)發(fā)展、低碳發(fā)展，堅持走生產(chǎn)發(fā)展、生活富裕、生態(tài)良好的文明發(fā)展道路。

黨的十八大以來(lái)，黨中央以前所未有的力度抓生態(tài)文明建設，全黨全國推動(dòng)綠色發(fā)展的自覺(jué)性和主動(dòng)性顯著(zhù)增強，美麗中國建設邁出重大步伐，我國生態(tài)環(huán)境保護發(fā)生歷史性、轉折性、全局性變化。2021年我國生態(tài)環(huán)境領(lǐng)域8項約束性指標順利完成，污染物排放持續下降，生態(tài)環(huán)境質(zhì)量明顯改善。這為生態(tài)領(lǐng)域的根本性變化、歷史性成就寫(xiě)下生動(dòng)注腳。

黨的十八大以來(lái)，我們堅持綠水青山就是金山銀山的理念，全面加強生態(tài)文明建設，推進(jìn)國土綠化，改善城鄉人居環(huán)境，美麗中國正在不斷變?yōu)楝F實(shí)。
