You literally have 30 seconds to make an impression during an interview. This question should really be "how do I nail the interview and get the job" that is how critical the first 30 seconds are.

在面試的時(shí)候，你真的只有30秒的時(shí)間來(lái)建立自我形象。所以這個(gè)問(wèn)題應該是“我如何在面試中脫穎而出獲得工作”，剛開(kāi)始的那30秒就是有這么重要。

So if you want to nail your introduction and the whole interview follow these steps:

所以如果你想讓你的自我介紹以及整個(gè)面試都讓人印象深刻，不妨遵循以下步驟。

1. Exercise on the morning of your interview.

在面試當天早上進(jìn)行模擬訓練。

2. Be presentable.

穿著(zhù)和形象都要得體。

Use your phone to do a video selfie and check for food in teeth, lipstick on teeth, clumps of mascara etc.

先用手機自拍一段視頻看看，檢查牙齒上有沒(méi)有菜葉子、口紅，看看睫毛膏有沒(méi)有結塊什么的。

People definitely notice when you are poorly presented and even something small like this can distract the interviewer.

如果你的形象準備不充分，人們是真的會(huì )留意到的，而且即使是這樣細小的細節也會(huì )讓面試官分心。

3. Arrive in the area early for your pre-game ritual.

早點(diǎn)到場(chǎng)做準備活動(dòng)。

A trick I learned in sales was to turn up 20 minutes before my meetings and hang out in the lobby (or one nearby if they don't have one).

在銷(xiāo)售生涯中我學(xué)到過(guò)一個(gè)小技巧，就是在會(huì )議前，我通常會(huì )先去大堂逛逛（如果對方那沒(méi)有，就在附近找一個(gè)）。

If it was a hot day, I want to cool down so I am not a sweaty disaster.

I also used to bring my headphones and listen to a few songs I like that helped me get into the zone. You will see many athletes doing this which is where I stole the idea from.

4. Hit the bathroom before you get to reception.

去前臺報道之前，先去上廁所。

5. Bring your own water.

自己帶好水。

Reception often do not offer you water. The interviewer might but they are often just being polite and don't expect you to say yes.

前臺通常不會(huì )提供水。面試官倒是會(huì )出于禮貌問(wèn)下是否要水，但是他們并不希望你真的說(shuō)“要”。

If the interview is going to go for a while a dry throat can really start to impact you.

如果面試進(jìn)行得比較長(cháng)（這通常是好兆頭），你的喉嚨肯定會(huì )干，而這將影響你的發(fā)揮。

6. Be amazingly nice to everyone.

對每個(gè)人都要態(tài)度非常友好。

I had one sneaky client who used to go out and ask the receptionist how the candidates had acted pre-interview. If he came back with a thumbs down then they would reject the candidate.

我有一個(gè)狡猾的客戶(hù)，他會(huì )出去問(wèn)前臺接待員：應聘者在面試前開(kāi)始前的態(tài)度如何。如果他得到的答案是“不好”，那么面試官就會(huì )拒絕這名應聘者

7. Get off your phone.

不要玩手機。

If you are waiting in reception or the interview room read your resume first. If you did not bring it then read a magazine if one is available.

如果你在前臺或面試廳中等待，先把你的簡(jiǎn)歷讀一下。如果你沒(méi)帶就先讀一下雜志。

Tapping away on your phone when they arrive can be distracting and some interviewers find it rude (especially the older interviewers).

操作手機會(huì )讓你在面試官到達的時(shí)候注意力不集中，而且有些面試官會(huì )覺(jué)得這很失禮（特別是那些上了年紀的面試官）

8. Don't sit with your back to the door in the interview room.

在面試廳里，不要背對著(zhù)門(mén)坐。

This is a caveman trait we have not discarded yet: If you feel your back is unprotected you will naturally be on higher alert and be more uncomfortable.

這是我們從穴居人時(shí)代遺留下來(lái)的特點(diǎn)，而且至今未摒棄：當你覺(jué)得自己的背部不受保護時(shí)，你會(huì )本能地提高警惕，而且會(huì )覺(jué)得更加不舒服。

Sit where you can see the door. The other side effect of this is the interviewer is facing you and there are less distractions behind you.

坐在能看到門(mén)的地方。這樣做還有個(gè)作用就是：面試官在你前面，而你后面不會(huì )有東西讓你分心。

9. Stand when the interviewer enters the room (if you are able).

（如果你能站立）就在面試官進(jìn)來(lái)的時(shí)候站起來(lái)。

10. The introduction.

破冰階段。

Nearly always it will be the interviewer who makes the introduction.

一般來(lái)講，面試開(kāi)始時(shí)的破冰階段總是由面試官發(fā)起的。

A simple response of "Great to meet you X, I am really looking forward to our chat today" is all you need.

而你所需要做的回應只是：“很高興見(jiàn)到您XXX，我很期待今天的約談?！?/font>

Then the normal small talk.

然后就可以開(kāi)始正常的寒暄了。
