翻譯點(diǎn)津：“泡湯”的英語(yǔ)表達！
        句子：傾盆大雨淹沒(méi)街道，許多汽車(chē)泡湯了。
　　誤譯：The torrents of rain flooded the street, and many cars drowned。
　　正譯：The torrents of rain flooded the street, and many cars were drowned。
　　解釋?zhuān)涸谶@里，“泡湯”有“被水淹沒(méi)”的意思。to drown 的意思是to complete cover sth in water，即“淹沒(méi)”，為及物動(dòng)詞?！捌?chē)泡湯”，就是“汽車(chē)被淹沒(méi)”，應該用被動(dòng)語(yǔ)態(tài)。
　　“泡湯”的第一個(gè)意思是“浸泡在湯里”。英語(yǔ)可以譯為 to be immersed in soup。例如：
　　1.我認為吃米飯泡湯對胃不好。I don't think that eating the rice immersed in soup does any good to the stomach.
　　“泡湯”的第二個(gè)意思是“被水淹沒(méi)”。英語(yǔ)可以譯為 to be drowned, to be immersed in water.例如：
　　2. 這場(chǎng)傾盆大雨過(guò)后，至少有20輛汽車(chē)在被水淹的地下車(chē)庫泡湯了。After the heavy rainfall, at least 20 cars were immersed in water in the flooded underground car park.
　　“泡湯”的 第三個(gè)意思是“在溫泉里沐浴或洗浴”。英語(yǔ)可以譯為 to bathe in a hot spring.例如：
