商務(wù)廣告翻譯技巧 1)簡(jiǎn)明、通俗、易記

Dirt’s Out. 商務(wù)廣告英語(yǔ)的句法特點(diǎn): 1)使用單詞或短語(yǔ)代替整句 --- A work of art. --- A world of comfort 2) 大量使用簡(jiǎn)短的簡(jiǎn)單句、不完整句和省略句 --- No caffeine. Virtually no calories. Just a unique, sparkling citrus taste. 3) 大量使用祈使句 --- Catch that Pepsi spirit. Drink it in. --- Come to where the flavor is. Come to Marlboro Country. 4) 使用各式疑問(wèn)句 --- Are you going gray too early? 商務(wù)廣告英語(yǔ)的修辭特點(diǎn) --- Whatever you’re eating, drink Maeus Rose. Always light, always fresh, always chilled, always right. --- Free hotel! Free meals! Free transfer! The Allianz Group is always on your side. 安聯(lián)集團,永遠站在你身邊。 --- 本品是傳統醫藥驗方,選用純正中藥材及蜂蜜,用科學(xué)方法煉制而成的純中藥蜂蜜膏劑。 This product is prepared from the selected Chinese medical materials and refined with modern scientific methods on the basis of the active principle of traditional Chinese medicine. 6 套譯法(Parody) --- A Mars a day keeps you work, rest and play.(Mars chocolate) 一天一塊瑪斯巧克力,讓您工作像工作,娛樂(lè )像娛樂(lè )。 --- 條條大路通羅馬,款款百羚進(jìn)萬(wàn)家。(百羚餐具) All roads lead to Rome,All Bailing lead to home. --- 速效救心丸。(藥品) A friend in need is a friend indeed. 效果:雙關(guān)(Pun) 英語(yǔ) pun 與漢語(yǔ)雙關(guān)一樣,是利用某些詞語(yǔ)的語(yǔ)義或語(yǔ)音條件,使其在特定環(huán)境中具有雙重含義。英語(yǔ) pun 分為 homophonic pun(諧音雙關(guān))和 homographic pun(語(yǔ)義雙關(guān)),前者利用同形異義詞,即發(fā)音、拼寫(xiě)相同但意義不同,或發(fā)音相同但拼寫(xiě)、意義不同的詞;后者是利用一詞多義現象來(lái)達到雙關(guān)效果。英語(yǔ)廣告中雙關(guān)的運用含蓄風(fēng)趣,耐人尋味,能激發(fā)讀者聯(lián)想,加深商品印象,極具促銷(xiāo)作用。 如“She!s the nimblest girl around. Nimble is the way she goes. Nimble is the bread she eats. Light, Delicious, Nimble!,這是一則面包廣告,面包品牌為 Nimble。Nimble 一詞出現四次, 令人印象深刻,有時(shí)指“聰明的、敏捷的”,有時(shí)指面包品牌,耐人尋味,促發(fā)人們聯(lián)想到食用 Nimble 面包,令人變得輕捷、智慧。翻譯時(shí)應靈活處理,可譯為“她是周?chē)钶p捷聰慧的女子。輕捷是她的舉止特點(diǎn)。Nimble 是她食用的面包。 松軟味美,Nimble。(崔剛,1993:28) 美國“摩爾”牌香煙廣告“I!m More satisfied”,其中 More一語(yǔ)雙關(guān),既宣傳了商品品牌,又起到勸購作用。常見(jiàn)的翻譯為“我更加滿(mǎn)意”,筆者認為此譯雖簡(jiǎn)潔,卻只譯出廣告的一半含義,漏失雙關(guān)之意。由于英漢差異,直譯往往無(wú)法譯出雙關(guān)之意,只能意譯。筆者認為翻譯雙關(guān)時(shí),譯者應做靈活處理,盡量保留雙關(guān)的妙趣,實(shí)在無(wú)法保留時(shí),再做割舍,如此例可譯為“‘摩爾’令我更滿(mǎn)意?!? 再如宣傳安全駕駛的公益廣告“Better late than the late.”(遲到總比喪命好),仿擬英語(yǔ)成語(yǔ)“Better late than never.”(晚來(lái)總比不來(lái)好)的結構,同時(shí)巧妙利用 late 一詞的雙關(guān)之意:late 表示“晚的、遲到的”, the late 則指 the dead。 |
