Diarra Boubacar, a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) doctor from Mali, has recently become a hot topic on Chinese social media. It surprises many Net users that a foreign doctor could practice TCM so well.

迪亞拉·布巴卡爾是一名來(lái)自非洲馬里的中醫，最近他成為了中國社交媒體上的熱門(mén)話(huà)題。讓許多網(wǎng)友驚訝的是，一個(gè)外國醫生的中醫醫術(shù)居然這么好。

"I really hope the TCM skills of us foreign doctors would be recognized in China," said Boubacar, who mainly works at a TCM hospital in Chengdu, Sichuan Province.

布巴卡爾主要在四川省成都市的一家中醫看病，他表示：“我真的希望我們這些外國醫生的中醫醫術(shù)能夠在中國得到認可?！?/font>

The first ever foreign post-doctoral fellow in TCM, he has been practicing TCM for more than three decades.

布巴卡爾是有史以來(lái)第一位外籍中醫博士后，已經(jīng)用中醫治病超過(guò)30年。

On December 6, the Chinese government published its first white paper on TCM, which delineates the policies and measures on TCM development, the Xinhua News Agency reported.

據新華社報道，12月6日，中國政府發(fā)布了中國第一份中醫白皮書(shū)，描述了發(fā)展中醫是政策措施。

The paper stressed TCM development as a national strategy and stated that TCM is going international, having already spread to 183 countries and regions.

白皮書(shū)強調中醫發(fā)展為一項國家戰略，并指出中醫正在走向國際化，已經(jīng)傳播到了183個(gè)國家和地區。

It is still a novelty to see foreign TCM doctors in China. But the frequency has increased with growing foreign interest in TCM.

在中國看到外籍老中醫現在仍然是一件新奇的事情。不過(guò)隨著(zhù)外國人對中醫的興趣增加，越來(lái)越多的外籍中醫開(kāi)始在中國出現。

Not everyone trusts a foreigner with Chinese herbs and needles.

但是并不是所有人都信任外國人的草藥和銀針。

It often happens that patients are very skeptical when they see a foreign TCM doctor, even after Boubacar became fairly well-known as the "miracle-working foreign doctor" in his neighborhood.

通常情況下，當患者看到一位外籍中醫的時(shí)候，他們會(huì )非常懷疑，即使布巴卡爾在當地成為小有名氣的“妙手回春外國醫生”之后也是這樣。

Just a few days ago, a woman refused to let him treat her mother. "If my mother's condition worsens, whose responsibility would that be? I won't let your kind of foreign apprentices treat her," she said.

就在前幾天，一位女性拒絕讓布巴卡爾給她的母親看病。那名女子當時(shí)說(shuō)道：“如果我母親病情惡化了，誰(shuí)來(lái)負責？我不會(huì )讓你這種外國小學(xué)徒來(lái)給她治病的?！?/font>

"I can totally understand that," said Boubacar, adding that his strategy is to let his skills speak for themselves instead of arguing with the patients.

布巴卡爾對此表示：“我完全可以理解?！彼€稱(chēng)，自己的做法就是用醫術(shù)來(lái)說(shuō)話(huà)，而不是和病人爭吵。
