Up to 30.9% of business owners in China are women, which gives the country eighth rank globally, according to the inaugural Mastercard Index of Women Entrepreneurs.

萬(wàn)事達卡公司日前首次發(fā)布的全球女性創(chuàng )業(yè)者指數顯示，中國的女性企業(yè)家比例高達30.9%，位列全球第8。

Mastercard Inc said women in China are making solid inroads into knowledge assets and financial assets.

萬(wàn)事達卡稱(chēng)，中國女性正以堅實(shí)的步伐進(jìn)入知識資產(chǎn)與金融資產(chǎn)領(lǐng)域。

Not only are they as educated as their male counterparts in both secondary and tertiary education but just as inspired and motivated to pursue new business opportunities.

她們不僅接受了和男性相同程度的中高等教育，且在追求新商機方面也同樣不甘落后。

The index showed that 60.1% of female business owners in China are pursuing opportunity-driven entrepreneurship, compared with 39.9% for necessity-driven entrepreneurship due to the lack of employment opportunities.

該指數顯示， 60.1%的中國女性企業(yè)家追求"機會(huì )型創(chuàng )業(yè)"，而因缺乏就業(yè)機會(huì )而進(jìn)行"生存型創(chuàng )業(yè)"的占39.9%。

Their pursuit of success and independence, and their desire for recognition, are driven and supported by the strong cultural acceptance of women entrepreneurs in the country and a high level of financial inclusion, it said.

該指數稱(chēng)，中國對女性創(chuàng )業(yè)者較高的文化接受度及較高的普惠金融水平，在她們追求成功、獨立和社會(huì )認可的過(guò)程中起到了推動(dòng)和支持的作用。
