聯(lián)考常用翻譯方法與技巧專(zhuān)有名詞的翻譯
專(zhuān)有名詞的翻譯 其原則是人名、地名按音譯，如果有約定俗成的就按約定俗成的翻譯，如果沒(méi)有也可不譯；機構名稱(chēng)可按意思翻譯，如果是縮寫(xiě)可不翻譯，如果機構名是全稱(chēng)則需翻譯出來(lái)，如：World Trade Organization 世界貿易組織。
關(guān)于比較結構的翻譯
幾組由 “more than ；more … than” 和“no / not ＋比較級”等組成的固定結構及其含義

more than 意為：“不僅僅是，非常，十分”等，用法和意義較多

more …than 意為：“與其說(shuō)…不如說(shuō)，不是…而是”

What we are doing today is more than donating some money.
Their action was more than justified.
He is more brave than wise.
The book seems to be more a dictionary than a grammar.

no more than 強調少，意為“只有，不過(guò)，僅僅”

not more than 客觀(guān)敘述，意為“不超過(guò)”
He has no more than five dollars on him.
He has not more than five dollars on him.

no more … than 意為“A與B都不…；…不，…也不”

not more … than 表示程度上的差異

He is no more diligent than you.
He is not more diligent than you.
no less than = as much as 意為：“竟有…之多，多達”，強調多

not less than 意為“不少于，至少”，為客觀(guān)的描述

no less … than 前后均為肯定，意為：“正是，和…一樣, 多達，應有…之多”

His son has read no less than 50 English books.
His son has read not less than 50 English books.
The middle-aged man was no less a person than the new minister.
Her voice is no less sweet than it used to be.

Science moves forward, they say, not so much through the insights of great men of genius as because of more ordinary things like improved techniques and tools.

mass 大量；團，塊 masses 群眾；質(zhì)量
