經(jīng)典翻譯技巧——視譯方法與口譯！
        有的同學(xué)可能對“視譯”不是很了解。所謂視譯就是看著(zhù)中文稿不間斷地口頭翻譯成英文或看著(zhù)英文稿不間斷地口頭翻譯成中文。視譯是同聲傳譯中最常用的訓練方法之一。如果議員視譯和發(fā)言人保持同步，這種方式就是同聲傳譯中的“帶稿同傳”。

　　現在視譯訓練的科學(xué)合理性已經(jīng)得到了充分的證明和廣泛的認可，所以視譯練習也越來(lái)越多地被用于交替傳譯的培訓中。就我個(gè)人的經(jīng)驗而言，視譯不僅是同傳和交傳的有效訓練途徑，同時(shí)也是漢語(yǔ)主導環(huán)境條件下練習口語(yǔ)的有效方法。接下來(lái)我們來(lái)探討一下視譯中常用的方法。

　　一、斷句

　　所謂斷句是指將英語(yǔ)或漢語(yǔ)句子按照適當的意群或概念單位，進(jìn)行切割處理并譯成漢或英語(yǔ)。例如：

　　1. I come to China /at an important time.

　　我來(lái)到中國訪(fǎng)問(wèn)，正逢一個(gè)重要的時(shí)刻。

　　2. They built the bridge /in two months

　　他們建這座橋，只花了兩個(gè)月。

　　3. Aristotle,/the greatest of the ancient Greek writers,/had written a work /containing all the knowledge of his time.

　　亞里士多德是最偉大的古希臘作家，曾寫(xiě)過(guò)一部著(zhù)作，囊括了同時(shí)代所有的知識。

　　4.請允許我/作自我介紹。

　　Pleas allow me /to introduce myself.

　　5.我很樂(lè )意/為您排憂(yōu)解難。

　　I am very glad/ to help you out.

　　6.今晚/公司總經(jīng)理李先生/將設宴為您洗塵。

　　Tonight/ Mr.Li, MD of the company /will host a reception banquet for you.

　　二、等待

　　等待是指在視中有意識地等一下，等到上下文比較清除時(shí)再開(kāi)口翻譯。

　　1. They are trying hard to realize the objective of modernization /and democratization.

　　他們正在努力實(shí)現（等一下）現代化和民主化的目標

　　2. There remains a sizable gap between aspiration/ and accomplishment.

　　愿望與成果之間仍有相當大的差距。

　　3. We know that oxygen is necessary for the breathing of animals and plants, and for burning.

　　我們知道氧氣對于動(dòng)植物的呼吸和燃燒是必不可少的。

　　4.我叫洪建信，是中美制藥有限公司的副總經(jīng)理。

　　I am Hong Jianxin, deputy MD of the Sino-American Pharmaceutical Co, Ltd.
　　
　　5.我為能在上海接待您和您的家人而深感愉快，我很高興我們能在今后的半年里合作共事。

　　I am very glad to receive you and your family in Shanghai and I am very happy to work with you for the second half of the year.

　　三、轉換

　　轉換指詞類(lèi)變換。英語(yǔ)中非動(dòng)詞可以轉換成漢語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞，如英語(yǔ)名詞、介詞、形容詞和副詞等都可以轉換成漢語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞。

　　1. Every state is the best judge of what is required to safeguard its national security.

　　每個(gè)國家自己才能最好地判斷需要什么來(lái)保衛自己的國家安全。

　　2. The chairman of the working group has given a report on the work of the group.

　　工作組主席匯報了改組的工作

　　3. 感謝你為我們所作的如此精心的安排。

　　Thank you for your thoughtful arrangements.

　　四、重復

　　重復也是視譯中常用的技巧。重復可以出于各種目的，如語(yǔ)法、修辭、突出重點(diǎn)等。

　　1. I hope the meeting will not be too long ,for it will only waste time.

　　我希望這次會(huì )議不要開(kāi)得太久，太久（這）會(huì )浪費時(shí)間。

　　2. He left for London as soon as he received the instruction from his boss.

　　他啟程去了倫敦。收到老板的指示之后他就動(dòng)身了。

　　五、增補

　　中文重意合，英文重形合，這一特點(diǎn)意味著(zhù)中譯英時(shí)，需做許多增補。如，“他不干我干，” 譯成中文時(shí)，就要判斷出上下文所確定的準確含義，并增加相應的連接詞，即假設關(guān)系：“（如果）他不干，我干”；因果關(guān)系：“（因為）他不干，我干”。還有其它種種關(guān)系。英譯中增補也是必不可少的方法。

　　1. Implementation of international human rights standards must be pursued with vigor.

　　貫徹國際人權標準的工作必須大力進(jìn)行。

　　2. United Nations system organizations differ in terms of mandates, structure and professional capacity.

　　聯(lián)合國系統組織各有差異，在職權、結構、和業(yè)務(wù)方面都是如此。

　　3. Primary attention should be given to science and technology for development.

　　要優(yōu)先關(guān)注科學(xué)技術(shù)促進(jìn)發(fā)展問(wèn)題

　　4有朋自遠方來(lái)，不亦樂(lè )乎？

　　I am so delightful to have a friend from afar.

　　六、省略

　　原話(huà)中有些短語(yǔ)或詞匯，在譯語(yǔ)中不必翻譯出來(lái)。

　　1. The country has increased its overall strength.

　　該國綜合國力大增。

　　2. Will all those who are in favor of this draft resolution, please raise your hands ?

　　贊成的請舉手。

　　3. 如果我們沒(méi)有社會(huì )與政治穩定的國內環(huán)境，沒(méi)有和平與發(fā)展的國際環(huán)境，沒(méi)有中外經(jīng)濟與技術(shù)合作，我們的這次重大改革是不可能奏效的。

　　Without a domestic environment with social and political stability, without an international environment with peace and development, without economic and technological cooperation with other countries, our reform won’t achieve the anticipated results.

　　七、反說(shuō)

　　1. I couldn’t agree with you more .我完全同意你的意見(jiàn)。

　　2. We shall decide on procedural matters before we start a general debate.

　　我們將決定程序問(wèn)題，然后再開(kāi)始一般性辯論。

　　3. No nation can live in peace without theses principles.

　　任何國家要和平生存就必須遵守這些原則。
